About Justine

Hi! My name is Justine and I’m so grateful to be considered as someone to walk alongside you on your healing journey. Throughout my personal and professional experiences, I have seen firsthand how important it is to have someone you feel comfortable and at ease with when navigating the many challenges in life and I hope to be that person for anyone that I get the privilege of working with. I believe that everyone can benefit from having a safe space to work through whatever it is that is making them feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward.

I find joy in working with people of all ages but most of my experience is working with college-aged individuals and youth (alongside their parents). I pride myself in being a therapist that is not afraid to be direct when needed while also being able to incorporate real-life experiences and humor/laughter into sessions.

Sessions With Justine

As a therapist, I believe that each person I am working with already has the answers they are looking for within themselves—they just need a little guidance and support in learning to listen and trust themselves. I prioritize taking a collaborative and person-centered approach so that I can meet everyone exactly where they are at. Healing journeys are different for everyone so sessions can look different for each person—whether that is talking through an issue, moving our bodies to release tension, practicing mindfulness to recenter, or some other creative activity we decide for that day. I am passionate about being able to utilize trauma-informed techniques while also being creative and thinking outside of the box to help you address your goals for therapy.

Specialities And Training

I graduated from the UW-Stout with a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling with concentrations in Eating Disorders and Substance Use. Following graduate school, I worked at the UW-Stout Counseling Center where I received my 3000 hours of supervision to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. During that time, I provided individual, couples, and group therapy as well as provided case management while being a member of the campus Behavior Intervention Team. More recently, I worked in community mental health within the Comprehensive Community Services program (CCS). While working in CCS, I partnered with youth, their caregivers, county human services departments, schools, and mental health providers to help identify an individual’s mental health and/or substance use needs and connect them to appropriate services and wrap-around supports.
